Cop Whose Cruiser Killed Dog Should Be Fired, Says Pet Owner

In online posts that have gone viral since the Aug. 9 incident, Sidara Son has mourned her petite pit bull Phoebe with the hashtag #dogslivesmatter and a Facebook page, Justice 4 Phoebe Son, which had more than 1,800 likes Tuesday.
After retrieving Phoebe's cremains from the Paws to Heaven Pet Crematorium in Pennsauken, N.J., on Tuesday, Son told the Daily News that her grief has been compounded by her fury that Officer Chad Culbreath never apologized.
"I want him to acknowledge what he did to Phoebe and not dismiss it as 'just a dog,' " said Son, 30. "She wasn't just a dog; she was my baby."
Son said that several friends stopped by shortly after 9 p.m. that night, and she brought Phoebe outside to greet them. A balloon bobbed by, and one friend, worried Phoebe would eat it, chased it across the street to dispose of it - and Phoebe, in turn, chased the friend down, Son said.
