Where Is Al Sharpton On Mississippi Police Murders?
I am amazed at how quiet Mr. Al Sharpton has been, especially about the death of a black police officer in Mississippi. Not a comment, peep, or handy slogan uttered. No rushing down to Mississippi to offer condolences. No setting up massive marches across the country disrupting traffic and causing havoc. No getting up on a soapbox and denouncing the murder of an innocent life. No raising his arms and screaming that the lives of black police officers matter.
Doesn’t the life of a black police officer matter to him, or is it that the only deaths that matter to Mr. Sharpton are those of ex-cons, those running away from the law after committing an offense, those resisting arrest or those that further his agenda?
Not only has he been extremely quiet about the life of a black police officer, but he has yet to utter a single comment about the life of the teen slain in Newark on Mother’s Day who was also black, but not killed by a police officer.
I am confused Mr. Sharpton, which lives matter to you? What are the parameters that you use to offer your assistance, condolences, and outrage? Is it how much press time you get or how far it can propel your personal goals? Lost life, free publicity? Good question ain’t it.
