  1. Hi Larry,

Today you compared the great recession to a much lighter recession that was getting ready to end when Reagan came in. The 2008 recession was called the Great Recession for several reasons. Reagan came when a fairly bad cycle reccession was nearing an end. When Obama came in, we were in an absolute free fall, loosing 800,000 jobs per month, stock market in free fall, real estate in free fall flooding the market with too many homes. I would be surprised if you can't see the dramatic difference between the too situations. And I would be surprised if can't see that in can take a decade (as experts said in 2009) to recover. When you don't address these things, it's makes the audience think you're too focused on the spin instead of really looking for truth. The 80's WERE the decade of greed. The recovery was created by borrowing LOTS of money. Not only did Reagan increase Governement spending,,, but if you'll remember,,, for the first time banks started giving out credit cards to everybody including teenagers. Me and everyone I knew (around 19 years old) just spent and spent on credit cards unitl the bills got too big. Also Reagan increased Government spending/Jobs 8X as much as Obama. Obama increased spending by 1%, Reagan increased it by 8%. You can look that up and use it to bring out the truth. We also have lower taxes under Obama than we did under Reagan! ( : So to me and my friends who listen, we were thinking you must not aware of this information. So it sounds like you are inadvertantly arguing that Obama's policies, which in many ways are more Conservative than under Reagan, just aren't working. And you would be right. lol. With the exception of the first year, which was overrun by an economic crisis, Obama has been blocked from doing the good things that Clinton was able to do. Also Reagan came in with HIGH interest rates. That was huge advantage that Obama did have. How can you cut interest rates when they are nearly zero. So why don't we just give credit on the Consevative things this decent man has done? Conservative Radio should have applauded the fact the Obama faught to keep the Bush tax cuts rather than returning the very successful Clinton rates when budgets were balanced and the economy was booming. But if you listen to conservative radio, you would think Obama has never done one right or Conservative or smart thing ever. I'm just mentioning things that are being noticed by the listeners. See you on the ride home Larry.
